Dear Friends,

I’m thrilled to say that the new record is done and appropriately titled, Take me down the Interstate.  Some of these tunes you’ve heard in several incarnations and the lineup has changed 3 times since February, but hey that’s why I called this project Patchwork in the beginning; it’s inherent inconsistency.  After many months of hard work I can say that I’m absolutely tickled pink with how well the record turned out.  It is a very diverse album; we recorded and re-recorded some of these songs several times before we got them right and some of the others are 4 track recordings done on tour, some the 1st or 2nd take of the tune after it was written, which retains some sort of primitive soul you can’t recreate in the studio.  You might even recognize a song that was being worked out in your kitchen or bedroom…

Forgoing conventional album release practice, we will be making the record available digitally on July 7th and the physical release will be August 15th.
